SOVIETLEICA

This web page is devoted to photographic cameras produced during the Soviet age. Copies and derivatives based on the Leica shutter. Our aim is to make easier a fast clasification of the cameras, basing on images in which the differences between the models are shown, and make easier in each case links with other web sites with a lot more of information.

Stereoscopy – Photography and Filming in 3D

Welcome to the German Society for Stereoscopy (DGS)! The DGS is a non-profit organisation founded in 1928 and promotes the spread and knowledge about three-dimensional images.

Become a member and meet regularly with other stereo-3D enthusiasts. Exchange experiences, view stereoscopic photo and video shows or maybe only get started with 3D and learn how to make your own 3D images.

The DGS with its approximately 500 members unites knowledge from all fields of stereoscopy, be it photo or video, analog or digital, whether printed stereocards, red/cyan anaglyphs, large-scale projection or playback with a 3D-TV at home, as a beginner or professional photographer, artist, scientist or a technology geek. The interests of our members are very diverse, so that an active exchange with like-minded people is possible.

Photolit

PhotoLit is a freely accessable databank which aims to list photographic literature published since 1839 . It is NOT a list to order books from. At present (June 2011) PhotoLit lists 38.000 entries (c. 74 MB) of books, periodicals and periodical articles which have – in a wider or more narrow sense – to do with photography in all its artistic, visual and technical aspects. The stock listed so far is only a small part of the world’s existent photographic literature – but titles are constantly added to. And we ask your assistance to make PhotoLit more complete.

As PhotoLit has been founded in Germany it yet reflects listings which are predominantly German or English language based. An internationalisation is definitely aimed for. In spite of its present language-based handicaps (see below) PhotoLit already offers remarkably interesting research results if used creatively.
